I’ve spent much of my life working on ideas that required knowledge and abilities I didn’t have when I started. God would bring something to my attention, and then I had to investigate it, learn what I could, and involve people who knew things I didn’t.

That experience shapes the way I look at artificial intelligence.

I can see how useful AI can be when you’re developing an idea, leading a business, or working through an unfamiliar problem. It can help you bring information together, compare approaches, and consider questions you hadn’t thought to ask.

Those capabilities can make a considerable difference. They also raise a question about how you use them.

How can AI help you move forward while you continue seeking God, thinking for yourself, and developing the abilities He has given you?

I wrote Spirit-Led AI, a FREE PDF, to address that question and show how this approach can become part of your actual work.

Spirit-Led AI means using artificial intelligence while remaining led by the Holy Spirit, grounded in Scripture, and personally accountable for what you discern, decide, create, communicate, and do.

“Spirit-Led” describes the people using the technology.

AI doesn’t hear God, receive revelation, or exercise spiritual discernment. A response that agrees with you doesn’t confirm that God has endorsed your understanding, even when it includes Scripture and sounds convincing.

The purpose is to use AI to augment and enhance your God-given abilities while keeping you actively involved in the thinking and work. That includes knowing when to examine a response more carefully, speak with someone, or step away from the tool and give a question time.

Suppose God has drawn your attention to food being discarded while families nearby struggle to obtain what they need. Your first thought is to build an app connecting businesses and local ministries.

AI could help you organize observations, prepare questions, and compare existing approaches. Conversations with the people involved may show that the immediate need is better coordination of resources already available. They may also help you understand what something new would need to accomplish.

The Spirit-Led Co-Creation Pathway helps you recognize, discern, and respond to what God is showing you. As God leads you, AI can help you organize what you believe He’s showing you, examine assumptions, prepare questions for prayer, Scripture study, and wise counsel, and record how your understanding develops.

The 7i Innovation Framework helps you investigate the need, develop possible responses, test them, and put a solution into practice. AI can assist with research, comparing approaches, organizing feedback, and planning the work.

Throughout the work, you continue seeking God, examining your understanding in light of Scripture, listening to counsel, and deciding how to respond.
