During my years in Alaska, I knew God was leading me, but I still had questions. I had to investigate, learn unfamiliar things, involve other people, and do the work. Often, I understood more as I acted on what He was showing me.

Those experiences helped shape what I later named the Spirit-Led Co-Creation Pathway.

I’ve prepared this FREE PDF overview to introduce the Pathway and help you consider how it applies to the ideas, problems, decisions, and assignments in front of you.

Co-Creating with GOD: Spirit-Led Innovation is for Christians who want to apply Spirit-Led discernment and a practical innovation process to the ideas, assignments, and challenges God has placed before them.

Co-creating with God begins with dependence on Him. God is the source of wisdom, purpose, and direction. The Holy Spirit leads and equips. You participate by listening, learning, examining your understanding in light of Scripture, and using the abilities God has given you as you respond to what He makes clear.

The Pathway describes seven movements: Revelation, Clarification, Confirmation, Co-Creation, Validation, Activation, and Implementation.

These movements help you recognize what may need your attention as you seek God’s direction and put what He shows you into practice. You may need greater clarity, wise counsel about what you’re creating, or a commitment to take the next step.

The movements can overlap and repeat as God leads and your understanding grows.

The outcome is Transformation. God can use the journey to renew your thinking, deepen your understanding, develop your abilities, and change how you respond to Him. Transformation can take place throughout the work, with effects that reach beyond you.

Suppose you believe God is drawing your attention to young adults in your community who want to work but need practical skills, experience, and people willing to help them get started. Your first thought is to open a training center.

You pray, seek Clarification about the need, and seek Confirmation about your part in responding. During Co-Creation, you begin developing a program that brings together practical instruction, mentoring, and work experience.

Then someone offers you the use of a building. During Validation, wise counsel raises an important question: has God given you the assignment of establishing and running a center, or could your part involve bringing together people and resources already available?

That question leads you back to Confirmation. You continue seeking God, examining your understanding in light of Scripture, and considering the counsel you’ve received. The need may remain clear while your understanding of your part in the work changes.

Local businesses could provide work experience. Churches could offer space. People with relevant skills could teach and mentor. Activation involves committing to move forward. Implementation involves coordinating those contributions and helping the young adults begin learning and working.

Transformation can unfold throughout the journey. God can deepen your trust in Him, change your understanding of leadership, and help you recognize other people’s abilities. Young adults can gain skills, build relationships, and begin contributing through meaningful work.

The overview also follows the hypothetical energy storage invention used in 7i Innovation Framework — An Overview. Here, the focus is on discerning God’s direction as the invention develops.

You consider the purpose of the idea, the people it could serve, your part in the assignment, and the counsel needed as decisions arise. A design may perform well while becoming too expensive for the communities you intended to help. That discovery can prompt further prayer, a review of your priorities, and changes to the approach.

If the invention proves dependable and affordable, it could help hospitals continue operating, support food preservation, and create work in manufacturing, installation, and maintenance.

God can also use the journey to renew your thinking, develop your abilities, and change how you work with others. What begins with one insight may involve many people and serve needs far beyond what you first understood.

The Pathway describes the broader spiritual journey of discerning and responding to God’s direction. The 7i Innovation Framework provides a structured process for investigating, developing, evaluating, testing, and implementing ideas.

You can draw on the Framework throughout the work. It helps you deepen your understanding through research, consider possible approaches, gather feedback, and test possible solutions. As you do that work, you continue seeking God’s direction through prayer, Scripture, and wise counsel.

Discernment and purposeful action continue together.

The Spirit-Led Co-Creation Pathway overview concentrates on discerning God’s direction and responding as He leads. Two related overviews help you connect that journey with the practical work and the complete training.

7i Innovation Framework — An Overview explains a practical process for investigating, developing, evaluating, testing, and implementing ideas. The Pathway and Framework overviews consider the same hypothetical energy storage invention, helping you see how practical findings and spiritual discernment can affect the same decisions.

Co-Creating with GOD: Spirit-Led Innovation — An Overview introduces the complete training and explains how its parts fit together. It shows the Pathway and Framework working through a hypothetical water purification example and explains how to begin learning, apply the teaching with others, and understand the larger vision.
